Full Job Description

CPS is a joint Venture project with Balfour Beatty, AtkinsRéalis, and Egis. We operate and maintain the M25. The M25 is the busiest section of motorway in Europe and requires careful and efficient planning of work in order to deliver over £100m of annual investment in the highway infrastructure each year, in addition to planned and reactive maintenance activity. If you have or are looking for a career in Highways, working on the M25 will give you experience and challenge that no other highways project can offer. Role Purpose

  • Manage and support the project on all estimating principles associated with the M25 and key functions for the commercial and project teams.
  • Be a senior member of the team developing the price, mentoring, and supporting more junior members of the estimating team.
  • Stakeholder management to produce the Estimate e.g., planning, procurement etc
  • Working closely with other business units to ensure a unified approach and pricing submission., Undertake estimates in accordance with the companies' policies and procedures.
  • Review customer's drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour and equipment.
  • Oversee and/or interrogate design options and 'value' solutions, and if appropriate, identify the attractiveness of a project based on sound estimating principles.
  • Mentor and support more junior members of the team.
  • Record assumptions and identify risks and opportunities including supporting developing the risk evaluation from a pricing/budgetary point of view.
  • Liaise with members of the project team, other BB business units & supply chain to develop and understand methodologies and principles proposed.

    You will have the following:
  • Infrastructure Main Contractor background ideally in the heavy civil engineering market.
  • Previous experience in Estimating of Heavy Civil Engineering Projects Commercial or operational background considered.
  • Chartered by relevant industry recognised chartership e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB Etc (desirable).
  • Proficient in the use of excel and similar software.
