Senior Facilities Operative

The job-holder will be a key part of the McQueens Warehouse team, playing and important role in helping to deliver the vital back-office business functions required to enable colleagues in other departments to execute the services we have committed to provide to our customers and having a direct and positive impact on the commercial success and growth of the company.

The role will spear heads the efficient and cost-effective running of the business' commercial and physical resources and infrastructure, focusing primarily on the moving of premises, managing part time staff and drivers.,

• Working with head of operations to facilitate office move, this includes; moving of stock, driving company vans, sorting inventory, prioritising Christmas stock


• Support with events and Christmas installs though the creation of structures, putting up trees and floral installations and being in charge of Christmas lighting and securing all necessary supplies from our inventory


• Be able to lead a small team of seasonal warehouse staff, ensuring work get done on time


• Working with Operations team to support as required.


• Supporting with training of warehouse employees to ensure the necessary skills for jobs are obtained by employees.


• Contribute to finding smarter, more effective ways to carry out core processes.


• Working with departments to facilitate needs as required, supporting event set ups, installations and general office projects as required


• Comply with all company policies and procedures at all times


• Maintain the confidentiality of all types of information relating to employees, customers, etc

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail


• Experience in an operations role


• A full UK driver's license with the ability to drive a van


• Experience with hands on creative construction experience (preferred)


• Has experienced working in a creative, fast passed environment


• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills


• Strong oral and written communicator


• Numerate and commercially astute


• Confident and proficient user of Email, Teams, Word and Excel
