Full Job Description

  • Ownership of the month end process for the Regions within the Division. This will include the consolidation of Joint Ventures (JV's) and Joint Collaborations (JC's), including the preparation of the regional monthly management accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of the regional monthly performance pack and ad-hoc management information requests for the Divisional Chair / Divisional and Regional Finance Directors / Regional Managing Director and Group Finance Team.
  • Support the wider operations of the Region, liaising with Commercial / Development / Sales and Marketing teams to provide financial insight and support alongside the Regional Finance Director.
  • Review outputs from junior members of the team (month end / banking journals, JV/JC Funding requests, debtor analysis etc.). Coach and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Support the HY and FY external reporting requirements of the Region, building good working relationships with Group Finance and the External Auditors.
  • Support the Regional Finance Director to improve GP margins, ROCE, cash generation and working capital management.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Regional Budget and Five-Year Strategic Plan.
  • Support the Divisional FC in maintaining a strong financial control environment across the Division and in providing technical accounting support and challenge to the Regions.
  • Support in the delivery of new initiatives to improve current systems and processes.
  • Ad-hoc project work.

    Qualified Accountant with 2-3 years PQE (preferably ACA/ACCA qualified)
  • Effective communicator both with finance and non-finance professionals
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Strong technical acumen with a good understanding of IFRS
  • Drive and ambition are essential to the role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel at an advanced level
