Full Job Description

This position serves as business partner for the VP Cranial-Spine Segment across International and in additional manages team members in Neuroscience Western Europe finance team. This role provides data-driven insights into the internal and external environment and makes recommendations to improve financial performance of the businesses. This includes working with CST International OU leadership team to support the business, defining strategic choices and connecting business strategy with financial business performance. In this business finance partnering capability, this position coordinates all business finance activities (planning, forecast, strategy, quarterly narratives) for the international region. You will drive the operation process to manage inventory and OPC in collaboration with Supply Chain & Customer Care, EOC Finance. Reporting into Global Neurosciences Portfolio CFO, and collaborating daily with the Global CST CFO, you will be part of the Finance Leadership Team.,

  • Support Cranial and Spinal Technologies VP in managing all aspects of the Financial Performance Management, driving business results impacting P&L and relevant Balance Sheet items (i.e. Inventory and Fixed Assets).

  • Support the VP with achieving country and regional financial results through close collaboration and best practice sharing across the region.

  • Maintain open communication and strong collaboration with BUs in US Support Business leader in Business Development opportunities such as new business models, acquisitions or divestitures, licensing contracts.


  • AOP, Planning & Forecasting :
  • Coordinate with relevant functional areas (Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Customer Experience and Reimbursement) and establish market models to define market potential for future fiscal years by country.

  • Own Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for CST, International

  • Review country potential and market shares and align expectations between country Finance & Business Management and SHQ.

  • Lead CST annual Strat Plan and Quarterly Business Reviews mechanisms with the EMEA, Japanese, ANZ, & RLM Strategy Lead.

  • Ensure full alignment on allocation of targets with country CST Management.


  • Reporting & Analyzing :
  • Define CST reporting requirements i.e. Revenue, Costs, Operating Statement and strive for standardization across countries and BUs wherever possible.

  • Ensure material deviations from Annual Operating Plan (AOP) or vs. LY for OU by country are being reviewed and communicated regularly to relevant stakeholders and follow up any corrective actions directly or through respective Financial Analyst/Business Director.


  • CST Operation Financial Management :
  • Define OPC and Inventory dashboard of key performance indicators and data sets.

  • Set up regular efficient mechanism of OPC and inventory management.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain & Customer Care, EOC Finance and in connection with Global Operation Finance while holding business team accountable for operation improvement.

  • Guide and support the organization to achieve financial objectives in OPC and inventory management.


  • Asset Management & Investment ROI :
  • Ensure ROI of investments are reviewed with all relevant stakeholders, with approved project results are evaluated on an ongoing basis.

  • Assume the role of "challenger" ensuring that the deployment of investments provides the greatest return on assets for the business and execution is assured on commitments made at either a regional or country level. Ensure adequate follow-up of ROI/assumptions after implementation.


  • Projects :
  • Together with relevant stakeholders, lead scope definition, project tracking and management of resources for required adhoc projects.

  • Compliance (Statutory, SOX and BCS)

  • Ensure full compliance at regional level in line with SOX and BCS requirements and business needs. Implement corrective actions with respective stakeholders when requested.


  • Finance Function :
  • Provide a leadership role in people performance management, talent development and improvement of the operational aspects of the finance function where appropriate

  • Accountable to build and execute plans with the team twice per year for continuous improvement and consolidation of Organizational Heath Survey results to foster a rewarding employee experience.

  • Help develop and implement business finance roadmap. Partner with other finance leads in other OUs and Finance COEs to standardize processes, reporting, and timelines wherever possible across countries and businesses.

    University degree in finance, business, or accounting.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years professional finance experience including management positions in "sales/marketing" finance

  • Thorough knowledge and strong skills of financial analysis techniques, modeling, accounting

  • Experience in a multicultural, diverse environment

  • Strong ability to partner with leadership and partner through others, facilitate decision-making activities, build relationship networks at all levels, lead change.

  • Understands and implements strategy, shift from tactical to strategic.

  • Accomplishes work through others, leads cross-functional teams, recruits, retains and develops talent.
