Full Job Description

Responsible for developing and managing the Food Safety management System for catering and hospitality food services across all sites at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. This includes service delivery at SSL and Trust managed Production kitchen sites, PFI catered sites, Trust managed food services including community inpatient sites, OT shops, ADL kitchens, visitor food and drink and service user own food provision i.e. takeaways.
Designated as the management representative and will have the operational responsibility for managing all relevant documentation / policies in relation to food safety standards ensuring compliance is maintained.
Responsible for the research and design of the Facilities department's training and quality assurance programmes, with delivery via Training & Quality Assurance Manager. Leading on delivery of work streams across Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring objectives are managed and delivered to all NHS National Standards.
Work with facilities / catering managers / clinical teams to ensure ongoing compliance and be involved in both internal and external audits. Responsible for catering audit reporting, delivery of bespoke food safety and hygiene training. updating Food Safety Management systems and HACCP.
