Full Job Description

Our Food and Safety team are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Food Safety Technologist to join them in ensuring the highest standards of safety, legality, quality, and integrity for our Made-in-House (MIH) products.

About the Role

This role is crucial to maintaining the brand's reputation while fostering a positive food safety culture across our production kitchens.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Leadership - Lead food safety management, develop HACCP and SOPs, and manage team engagement with Harrods' safety and quality protocols.
Safety & Quality Compliance - Collaborate with chefs and cross-functional teams to ensure all MIH products are safe, legal, and of exceptional quality.
Auditing & Compliance - Conduct routine audits, manage non-conformances, and ensure compliance with legal and internal safety standards.
Training & Development - Deliver food safety and hygiene training and actively coach team members to drive continuous improvement.
Product Development Support - Ensure that all products comply with UK regulations (UK FIC and Natasha's Law), set product shelf lives, and manage technical aspects of development.

You will be a highly skilled individual with a degree in Food Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field, who brings extensive experience in manufacturing or retail supplier management. You'll also have a strong background in ensuring food safety and quality compliance, with the ability to apply their expertise to dynamic production environments.

You will also have:

Proficiency in Quality Management Systems, HACCP (min Level 3), and BRC standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and auditing skills.
Flexibility to work Saturdays on a rota basis.
