Full Job Description

As a Senior GIS Engineer, you will lead GIS migration projects and oversee the implementation of new solutions across the estate. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS systems for key projects and executing comprehensive testing activities, including functional, throughput and failover testing. You will be required to collaborate closely with stakeholders and adopt a risk-based approach to deploying changes with the GIS infrastructure to minimize business disruption.

This post requires the post holder to have an in-depth understanding of the council's Geographical Information System (GIS) and have expertise in the full suite of ESRI products and be familiar with the integration of GIS into core business applications., Our ideal candidate will hold a degree preferably in GIS, Geography, or Computer Science or have appropriate working experience. Proven expertise in working with ESRI technology, including expert knowledge of ArcGIS Server technology alongside strong working knowledge of integrating GIS into core business systems, GIS migration projects and the implementation of new systems will be essential., Disability Confident
