Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Group Compliance department. As a member of the team, you will be passionate about supporting compliance teams across all of Admiral Group’s businesses, helping to maintain our impeccable brand and reputation. This role is suitable for internal colleagues or external applicants who are expanding their working knowledge of Compliance within a Senior executive role. We are open to receiving applications from graduates, staff from within our support functions (including existing senior staff or those aspiring to become senior), and highly organised and experienced ops-level staff.   As a member of the Regulatory development team, you will predominantly be preparing regular communications on regulatory developments, engaging senior stakeholders and providing assurance across the Group in this area. You will also aid with the utilisation of a Reg tech solution. We’re looking for someone who can flex their skills across a range of activities, and working closely with Regulatory Communications teams, supporting where required. In Group Compliance, we all look to support and collaborate as much as possible, fostering a culture of openness and a desire to enable skills/knowledge development across our teams and more broadly, the Group Risk, Compliance and Privacy function. The team plays a pivotal role in preparing regular communications on regulatory developments, engaging senior stakeholders and providing assurance across the Group in this area. Group compliance and the wider function, champion development and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to make use of training and talent pipelines as they develop in this area.   • Carry out Regulatory horizon scanning to identify emerging regulation communicating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare communications in a clear, consistent, and accurate manner.
  • Aid the Regulatory Development Manager in the development of assurance of regulatory developments and Regulatory change management within all entities.
  • Facilitate response activities for publications and developments where required.
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the Group.
  • Aid in the on-boarding, embedding and utilisation of a Reg tech solution.
  • Communicate with the regulator on behalf of entities where required for clarification or to raise issues.
  • Prepare reporting packs and briefing for several Board/committees.
  • Provide effective contribution and appropriate challenge on various project steering meetings, working groups and committees.
  • Support of the Regulatory Communications team where appropriate.

  • Ability to see beyond an immediate requirement to underlying issues or potential interactions and effects and to deal with those issues constructively.
  • Experience of governance / compliance / regulatory work is desirable but not essential.Â
  • Experience coaching or mentoring team members is desireable.Â
