Full Job Description

Cleaning and Stocking: Maintain a clean and organised environment within the department. Regularly check and restock supplies to ensure that necessary resources are readily available for patient care. Monitoring Observations: Keep a close eye on patients by monitoring vital signs and observations. Report any significant changes to the registered nurse promptly. ECG (Electrocardiogram): Perform and interpret ECGs as part of patient monitoring. Cannulation and Venepuncture: Assist with procedures such as cannulation (inserting a cannula into a vein) and venepuncture. Escorting Patients: Accompany and assist patients when they need to be transported, such as escorting them to the x-ray department. Ensure their comfort and safety during the process. Patient-centred Care: Demonstrate compassion by prioritising the well-being of patients. Always put the patient at the centre of your actions and decisions. Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and their
relatives. Keep them informed about their care plan, procedures, and any relevant information. Courage and Advocacy: Embrace new ways of working and be open to changes that improve patient care. Demonstrate courage by speaking up when you have concerns about patient safety or the quality of care.
