Full Job Description

Deliver patient-centred nursing care on the renal ward, aiming to achieve the highest possible standards of care delivery, in accordance with the Trust's Strategy for Nursing and Midwifery.

Contribute to implementing and progressing of a range of patient treatment and care programmes as delegated by a registered healthcare practitioner, and report back on progress.

Participate as an active member of the healthcare team.

Organising own day-to-day work tasks (with support available); participating in ongoing training and development, and maintaining skills necessary for the role; contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the service.

Carry out daily practice in line with our Trust values: Communication; Kindness and Understanding; Fairness and Transparency; Working Together; Excellence.

Working within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure high quality standards of evidence based care are maintained and Renal Association / Renal National Service Framework guidelines are met

To actively and safely participate as a member of the ward team providing peritoneal dialysis under the supervision of registered nurses.

To contribute to the smooth running of the ward

Ensure efficient use of resources.

Assist in the provision of a working environment which is conducive to learning for all staff and students.
