Would you like to be part of a new and exciting opportunity? Are you interested in working in a newly re-modelled Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient service for young people with acute mental health problems? If so, this role in Winchester may be for you.

You will need to be kind and responsive and remain professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a caring and supportive approach to working.

We provide support and treatment for young people aged 12-18, experiencing acute mental illness, such as depression and psychotic disorders whilst also specialising in supporting those with anorexia nervosa. Alongside this, we will provide you with;

A robust and supportive welcome programme, including our local CAMHS Induction and wider Trust Induction.

The opportunity to apply to enrol on the Children's and Young Persons Mental Health Inpatient Training Programme with the University of Reading. This is an innovative 10-day research informed training programme, spread over 5 weeks.

In-house training, including programmes around Attachment and Trauma, Eating Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We also benefit from being part of a portfolio of 3 CAMHS hospitals with a robust culture of collaboration, learning from events, and sharing innovation and best practice., As a Healthcare Support Worker you will provide physical and psychological care to service users in accordance with individual care plans. You will carry out duties as designated by the nurse in charge and accurately record patient/service user information. In addition to this, you will provide support to relatives/carers. You will work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You will work closely with the young people, their families, friends, and carers. You will play an important role in ensuring those who use our services have a positive and supportive experience.

You will need to be able to work a variety of shift patterns including nights and weekends.

Set in picturesque grounds, Serenity Path has undergone extensive renovations which has seen the development of two new services which will offer staff a flexible and diverse way of working with our young people, as well as a wealth of development opportunities.

The final combination of Southern Health and Solent NHS Trust services is expected in late 2024, when our new organisation, to be known as Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, will be formed.

Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
