Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills and the drive, enthusiasm and a commitment to make a difference for our patients within our integrated Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit and Colposcopy department. Often you will be the first face our patients see on arrival to the service, where you will be expected to deliver empathetic and high standard customer service. You will be expected to deliver services in a courteous manner maintaining patient confidentiality at all time. The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to coordinate the care plan and delivery of holistic care of patients., The post holder will work autonomously with clients in the privacy of confidential rooms without direct supervision but in accordance with agreed protocols, prepare and stock clinical rooms with clinical and non-clinical items; order stock; set up and decontaminate equipment for clinical procedures and clean and check equipment to comply with Health and Safety and Infection Control policies. Included also is the preparation and administration of specimens prior to transportation to laboratories.,

  • Demonstrate an interest in Women's Health in able to advocate on behalf and patients, partners and colleagues.
  • Provide assistance to women undergoing outpatient's procedures in the (Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) and One Stop Gynaecology services: predominately for women referred on the 2 week wait cancer pathway.
  • In collaboration with the registered clinical staff be able to support individual clinics; managing the clinical environment with eg the Trophon system.
  • Respect the confidentiality of women and staff in accordance with Trust Policy.
