Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Ophthalmology Department at Southlands for a dynamic and focussed Band 3 Senior HCA/Ophthalmic Technician.

Main duties are as follows, however as service needs dictate, these may be subject to change and adaptation.

To set up clinics for Ophthalmology; carry out and record Visual Acuities; Intra ocular pressure measurement;Auto-refraction; Focimeter readings; Visual Field Testing; Biometry: Macula; Optic Disc and Corneal imaging .

To work within a multi-disciplinary team giving specialist Ophthalmic care to ophthalmic patients.

A commitment to enrol onto and complete the Healthcare Scientist Ophthalmic Imaging Apprenticeship, is expected for this role., To set up clinics for Ophthalmology; carry out and record Visual Acuities; Intra ocular pressure measurement;Auto-refraction; Focimeter readings; Visual Field Testing; Biometry: Macula; Optic Disc and Corneal imaging .
