Senior Healthcare Support Worker | York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for an experience and enthusiastic healthcare assistant with a desire to provide effective and efficient care. You will need to be responsive to the changing demands and priorities on the ward and show a willingness to undertake the following extended roles:

• Work alongside the registered nurses in the Surgical Pre-assessments
• Take patient blood samples.
• Cannulate patients on the ward if necessary.
• Do ECG's in Pre-assessment and on the ward as needed.
• Take on the role of Physiotherapy for our post-op patients on an evening and over the weekends.

Each member of the team endeavours to ensure that our patients receive the best possible patient experience. You should possess good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
