Full Job Description

  • Produce 3D highways designs from 2D layouts, including models, cross sections, and contours.
  • Design civil infrastructure components, including detailed and preliminary highway (S38/S278) and drainage designs.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities to support project delivery.
  • Oversee and check drawings (AutoCAD) and manage project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead highway projects, ensuring delivery exceeds client expectations.
  • Support and mentor junior staff in their professional development.

    Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (consideration given to relevant experience).
  • Extensive experience in highway design, maintenance, and improvement schemes using AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of highway assets, design standards (DMRB), and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in walking and cycling design, traffic calming, Healthy Streets, and junction design.
  • Excellent project management and financial skills.
