Full Job Description

As a Senior Home Care Assistant, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Home Care Assistants. You can also expect to support with the administration of medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. Like everyone here, as a Senior Home Care Assistant, you'll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents as well playing your own part in creating an environment that's warm, welcoming and vibrant.

You should have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Senior Home Care Assistant. We'll also need to see that you have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. We are expanding our home care support team within The Grange - Extra Care Service, based in Buckshaw Retirement Village and are looking for caring, reliable and hard working individuals to promote independence, whilst actively encouraging and supporting with making informed decisions.

The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK., Our onsite care and support is provided by HICA at Home and care and support teams are available 24 hours a day to offer day-to-day support, respond to emergencies, and deliver planned care packages which can be increased or decreased as needs change. With over 25 years' experience of delivering domiciliary care in the community, HICA at Home provide anything from a daily medication administration service, to a full care package with multiple daily visits.

The HICA Group is a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.

£11.77 per hour.
Min of 12 hours per week on nights on a casual basis.
