About Us:

Take on management responsibilities in a life-changing service that tackles homelessness.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people at the heart of everything we do. Everyone in our Housing Solutions service is passionate about making sure everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has a safe and secure place to call home. The work is as deeply fulfilling as it is challenging. Join this forward-thinking team and you will have access to a career path with impressive scope and opportunity. Most importantly, you will make a real difference to the life outcomes of some of our community's most vulnerable individuals.

The Role:

As Senior Housing Solutions Officer you will enjoy the scope to define this newly created role, and to refine Housing Solutions processes. Providing vital support to the Housing Solutions Team Manager, you will take on both duty management and people management responsibilities. With three direct reports, you will prioritise tasks for a seamless customer experience in a fast paced environment. Managing the 'front door' of the service, you will make it easier for people who need our help to access it. You will be instrumental in assessment and investigation of Housing register enquiries, homelessness approaches and applications. It is a busy and varied role, which calls for a flexible approach - from producing important data sets, through to visiting properties.
