Full Job Description

Both roles cover Operations teams within the Central Operations function, meaning that both roles require national travel. You will be expected to be in the office 2/3 days a week and have ad hoc travel nationally to suit business needs., Through creativity and collaboration our Strategic Business Partner team plays a critical role in driving employee engagement, organisational success, and fostering a positive culture. . We are looking for a permanent Senior HR Business Partner working with the National Distribution and Fleet Director and a 12-month FTC partnering the National Engineering and Process Design Director along with other central operations teams. About the Role Reporting into the Head of HR Central Operations you will partner with the Functional Directors to achieve short-term business targets and creating and deploying the longer-term strategy. You will also

  • Develop and deploy a People strategy /Plan, that is focused on culture and transformational change aligned to functional business goals and adapted for changing needs.
  • Provide informed HR consulting to senior stakeholders to ensure that business and people plans and priorities are aligned, utilising relevant data driven metrics.
  • Lead and support on strategic change management projects, while proactively engaging with national trade unions to deploy change.
  • Mitigate risk and diffuse potential conflict particularly around the deployment of change activities.
  • Support, coach senior leaders in the management of significant IR/ER issues
  • Collaborate and influence the Function's Leadership Team to ensure the successful deployment of our people processes centred around compensation, engagement, performance management, talent, and succession.
  • Advocate and sponsor the use of the full suite of HR service offerings, acting as customer voice, role model and facilitator to ensure business adherence to.

    To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
  • Trusted advisor, able to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders to effectively challenge and build.
  • Resilient and tenacious and to think critically and logically.
  • Strong HR technical experience including current employment law.
  • Experience managing a challenging IR climate.
  • Change management experience and supporting the deployment of change.
  • Deep understanding of business and commercial challenges and future business strategy and how these impact on the customer.
  • CIPD qualified is desirable
