Full Job Description

As a Senior HR Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting an assigned client group, providing expert coaching and consultation to our managers and employees. You'll leverage your previous HR and employee relations experience to address and mitigate HR issues, ensuring the best outcomes for both the business and its people. You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, assisting them with a wide range of employee relations matters. You will also lead, manage, and improve key HR projects, initiatives, and processes; working to enhance the overall employee experience. Building strong relationships with your business areas, colleagues, and HR centre of excellence stakeholders will be critical to your success. What Will You Do?

  • Help to lead HR efforts for assigned client groups. With direction from senior management and HR Directors, help to develop and execute HR plans and strategies in support of business objectives and outcomes. Ensure that HR services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Participate in activities around compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations, succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational/leadership development for assigned client groups. Consult and collaborate with COE stakeholders in these disciplines.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and issues, providing direct coaching to managers and employees and escalating matters as appropriate. Collaborate with managers and employees to creatively resolve issues.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and COE colleagues to enhance HR policies, practices, process, and programs as needed.
  • Identify and analyse trends (e.g. around turnover, hiring, retention, and productivity), and develop and execute on action plans.
  • Assist and/or manage allocated employee relations cases including conducting investigation meetings and supporting the HR Director with investigation reports and other relevant documentation.
  • Communicating and collaborating with internal stakeholders you will ensure approval and communication timelines are managed.
  • Manage reasonable adjustment requests in a timely and effective manner across your client groups
  • Manage flexible working requests, liaising with managers and the relevant HR Director, employees and the adjustments team. Attend meetings and present requests to the Flexible Working Committee
  • Provide miscellaneous support, managing, delivering, tracking, and reporting on various HR and business projects as required by the HR Leadership Team
  • Remain current on UK and Irish legislative updates and potential changes, you will be responsible for the annual policy review process and ensuring that appropriate updates are made in accordance with the relevant jurisdictional legislation.
  • Act as the HR representative on the UK and Ireland Employee Forums, raising matters to HR Leadership; running election processes when needed and being a key partner to the Employee Forum Chairs.
  • Through keeping up to date on UK and Irish legislative updates and potential changes, you will contribute to the annual policy review process, ensuring that appropriate updates are made in accordance with the relevant jurisdictional legislation.
  • Act as the Document Retention Officer for the Europe HR Team to ensure adherence with the requirements and guidance.
  • Responsible for Business Continuity updates on behalf of the Europe HR Team
  • Responsible for maintain our recognition platform and dealing with queries as they arise.

  • Experience of managing client group in an HR Business Partner capacity.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry a plus.
  • Prior experience conducting employee relations investigations and reporting to senior leaders with recommendations.

  • What is a Must Have?
  • CIPD qualified or close to qualification.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in an HR role.
