Full Job Description

Reporting to the HRBP for EMEA & UK this position will be responsible for supporting the execution of the organization's people strategy and practices. You will partner with the Senior leadership team members, acting as a trusted advisor on organizational effectiveness; manage succession planning with defined population and support diversity & inclusion initiatives, and helping AIG attract, motivate, and retain key talent. Working collaboratively towards a best-in-class HR function and help the business deliver a high performing, learning and inclusive culture for all talent.

  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to the UK Business leaders and support the UK Senior HR Leadership team to develop and implement our people strategy. Build strong relationships with the SLT and be an influential business partner and change agent, in close partnership with the HR CoEs, on all key business decisions/strategies with people implications.

  • Be a thought leader and p artner with the broader HR Team and CoEs to share deep insight into Business needs on a range of HR issues such as reward, employee relations, talent acquisition and development, performance, organisation development/change, culture, and engagement.

  • Provide a high-quality resourcing and market insight to enable us to attract and retain diverse talent where we require additional skills and experience and to attract key players from our competitors.

  • Lead talent initiatives, such as talent reviews and succession planning by partnering with senior management in identifying development plans to address key skill and knowledge gaps.

  • Provide strong employee relations support, partnering closely with our ER COE.

  • Further enhance and sustain AIGs employer branding proposition in the market via robust and meaningful Diversity and Inclusion initiatives building on the great work done with ERGs.

  • Assist with, and undertake tasks associated with a diverse range of projects as reasonably required by the Head of HR and wider HR team

    Ability to identify business needs and to partner across Global HR teams to implement consistent, commercial HR strategies and plans.

  • People leadership experience and ability to build, lead, and nurture a high-performing team.

  • Innovation (initiative, calculated risk taking, business process improvement, benchmarking)

  • Strive to introduce continuous improvement and breakthrough changes to systems and processes which significantly impact business results

  • Experience covering employee populations in key HR Generalist leadership roles that require change management, strategic business partnering, organizational effectiveness/development, employment law, and positive employee relations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Experience working in a global matrix environment is desirable.

  • Ability to operate within an ambiguous environment while still delivering results.
