Full Job Description

The post holder will support the Head of Information in the development and implementation of a Trust-wide information strategy that delivers the information requirements of the organisation, and promotes effective business partnership working and the development of an information culture.o To support in the development and implementation of national datasets and returns.o To develop and establish key information performance monitoring mechanisms for datasets and returns to enable the early identification of adverse performance variance and to liaise with the relevant operational managers to agree appropriate action.o To work closely with operational services and teams to further develop understanding of the information processes and data capture.o To deputise for the Deputy Information Manager in relation to information issues as and when required.,

  • Manipulate and analyse highly complex data using technical knowledge and skills in data management tools such as SQL, as well as Access & Excel

  • Support development and implementation of national datasets, e.g. Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS)

  • Produce analyses and reports to support information queries, issues and requests for the Trusts services, and ensure that responses to formal information queries are dealt with in line with agreed timescales.

  • Support validation of returns produced by the Information team to ensure accuracy and validity

  • Ensure a timely and robust process is in place for the sign-off of all information returns with senior managers in the Trust

  • Develop robust and effective relationships with all operational and clinical services within the Trust.

  • Work with all users of information within the Trust to define and deliver the information requirements of those users.

  • Develop robust and effective relationships with the Contracting and Performance functions within the Trust to facilitate the delivery of information requirements to support the contractual and performance requirements of the Trust.

  • Provide advice and support to management teams on information monitoring, processes and quality standards.

  • Analyse highly complex data and information and work with operational and clinical services to understand and translate the key messages and how this information can be used into non-technical intelligence that is understood and used
