Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative technology team in London. You will work on a variety of projects and will play an important part in ensuring the availability of our IT infrastructure and services across the group. You will report to, and collaborate with, our Systems & Infrastructure Manager to ensure that we have a robust succession plan and knowledge framework in place. We operate a flexible hybrid working model to support work-life integration and foster collaboration. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Next 15, you will :

  • Design, implement, and maintain our system infrastructure ensuring the systems are run efficiently and securely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues including diagnosing and fixing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and security. This includes regular audits, system backups, and managing user access controls.
  • Lead system-related projects. This includes planning, coordinating team members, setting deadlines, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team by training junior staff, making informed decisions on system upgrades and improvements, and keeping up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Document all processes and systems setups, and create system guidelines and manuals for the group.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers, negotiate and manage contracts for hardware, software, and other IT services.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery protocols including data backup and recovery procedures.

    A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in managing and maintaining various operating systems, such as Windows and Linux.
  • Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 SharePoint, with a track record of user collaboration and regular maintenance such as restores, sharing methods etc.
  • Understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security. Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, and other networking technologies.
  • Experience with database administration, SQL queries, and database security.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of information security principles and best practices to protect our IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and integrations to GitHub (CI / CD)
