Full Job Description

The Senior Integrated Marketing Manager contributes to the marketing output alongside their team of marketing professionals to deliver against the EMEA Commercial Teams annual objectives to drive revenue growth. The role is responsible for developing compelling integrated marketing solutions and proposals for EMEA clients, agencies and brands working closely with sales and internal teams. This is achieved by providing strategic direction, sharing an inspiring vision, setting the benchmarks for success, role modelling the right behaviours, and troubleshooting problems. Strategy and Planning

  • Supports Head of Marketing in the allocation of resources across the team
  • Working with key internal teams such as sales, media planners, insights, creative studio StoryWorks, editorial, product, AdOps on proposals to develop integrated marketing campaigns which answer a client's brief, to take to clients.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create and manage timelines and maintain and strengthen relationships with all key internal stakeholders
  • Proactively identify opportunities to collaborate across business areas in BBC Studios.
  • Work closely with the audience insight team to ensure it is suitably rich and strong enough to form the sales narrative and creative response in proposals.
  • Influences editorial/product teams' strategy with relevant audience insight, in order to align their decision making with marketing opportunity.
  • Reviews collective campaign performance with sales and planners to ensure the output is delivering against the objectives of the commercial team.
  • Managing and mitigating risks and issues, escalating to Head of Marketing as required.
  • Develop and create compelling sponsorship and integrated content marketing opportunities around key global cultural calendar moments, across multi platforms to drive business revenue and results.
  • Campaign Delivery
  • Responsible for ensuring smooth process & efficient WoW within the integrated marketing team in the pre-sale commercial process, working with key stakeholders.
  • Plays a key role in selecting creative routes for responses, assessed against the client / creative brief.
  • Responsible for role modelling the right behaviours in collaborating with internal stakeholders, and teams.
  • Responsible for inspiring the team to achieve excellence in the Marketing discipline.
  • Working with sales, insights, product and planning teams, ensuring final campaign performance is clearly understood, the drivers of success (or otherwise) and key learnings to be applied in future, and for building a culture of continual learning.
  • Represents the work of the team in senior stakeholder reviews.
  • Leadership, Relationships and Development
  • Manage all team resources effectively against the changing priorities of the business.
  • Establish strong relationships with peers in Editorial and Product team, ensure smooth processes, sales/clients' requirements are met and working with PMs on costings.
  • Partner with US & APAC marketing teams on learnings and knowledge sharing.
  • Review and improve existing project management tools including SalesForce and Monday.com and make necessary changes working with key operational teams to facilitate.
  • Deputise for Head of Marketing when required.
  • Simplify plans, messages, and direction for the team to provide as much clarity as possible, removing uncertainty and blockers.
  • Lift the ambition of the team to encourage innovation and risk-taking in their work, to advance our marketing discipline and achieve more impact. Create the right culture to take calculated risks, and encourage learning from each campaign, and then application of learning.

    A record of strategic and creative success gained at a senior level within the media or digital media industry or a similar brand- facing business.
  • Experience developing new and effective client partner marketing solutions - likely to have been gained in a large organisation including digital and social media.
  • Experience delivering creative work, partnerships and multi-media campaigns including digital and effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Experience managing critical stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience of setting a vision and delivering against it. Good at planning and getting the details, as well as the big picture right.
