Full Job Description

The Senior IT Asset Management Analyst will participate in the development and implementation of procedures for tracking company IT hardware and software assets over their lifecycles. The Senior IT Asset Management Analyst will manage the administration of IT Asset Inventory, Starters, Movers, Leavers and their associated processes, IT Procurement, Invoice Analysis, Licence Management, whilst providing a high-quality customer service experience to the firm. They will also be the point of contact should the ITAM Manager be unavailable dealing with escalations relating to BAU activities in the team, along with attending meetings when required and being involved with projects and new processes and procedures within the team to the point that they will take the lead on certain projects until completion. Additionally, involvement in client audits to understand requirements for compliancy relating to all tasks within the team.,

  • Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT hardware, software assets and record all findings, changes, physical location into the Firm's ITSM toolkit (ServiceNow)
  • To assist the IT Asset Manager with Vendor selection and ongoing management
  • Validate automated discovery and enter all hardware and configuration data into IT asset repository/CMDB and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable, working alongside the on-site technical teams to achieve this
  • Responsible for collating and assessing pricing from the firms preferred supplier list
  • Assisting in procuring all IT equipment ensuring delivery to site and updating Purchase Orders to ensure assets and consumables are created
  • Taking ownership of incidents and requests through to completion, ensuring regular and informed updates are provided to the requestor. Managing the incident and request queues for the team and ensuring all records are updated and actioned within SLA
  • Overseeing the starters, movers & leavers process, understanding the Starters, Movers and Leavers automation and assisting with any future changes to this
  • Ability to create and update documentation as and when required by the business
  • Escalation point as and when required relating to any issues with BAU activities within the team
  • Understanding audit requirements and evidence gathering for audits as and when they are scheduled and keeping all applicable process and policy documents updated and compliant
  • Involvement in contract renewals and understanding the different IT contracts and pricing structures associated with each
  • Leading on all disposal activities of all devices that are End of Life to the company
  • Leading on all charity requests for devices that are no longer in use by the company, liaising with the CSR team and business to fulfil these as and when they arise
  • Mentoring and training other team members as and when required

    A keen interest in Asset Management, with 2 - 3 years' experience within this role and the desire to form a career in this area would be advantageous. The role is based in Leeds with occasional travel to the other UK offices, as required., Proactively identifies areas for improvement, shares lessons learned with colleagues and encourages others to do the same
  • Any experience with Azure related billing would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of administering Service Now, particularly the Asset Management Database, Incident Management and Request Fulfilment
  • Customer focused with a passion and drive to deliver customer satisfaction and value to the business
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority
  • Understand of the ITIL framework, particularly around Asset Management, Request fulfilment / Configuration management
  • Ability to work independently and interact with project and support teams effectively
  • Any prior procurement experience is a plus
  • Previous experience in managing workloads and ensuring SLAs are not being breached
  • Good understanding of desktop/laptop hardware
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all times
  • Experience in IT asset management lifecycle processes is a plus
  • Experience in audits
  • Experience in software licencing is essential
