Senior Learning Technology Practitioner

The Senior Learning Support Practitioner will work closely with specific curriculum areas monitoring support delivered to students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans or identified special educational needs and/or disabilities. The Senior LSP will provide an advisory, monitoring, and supportive role to LSPs and act as liaison between teaching staff, the ALS team, and students. In this role you will also provide in-class support and deliver additional skills development sessions using a range of support strategies and resources to encourage and motivate students.

Previous experience supporting individuals with barriers to learning and/or disabilities in an education environment and an understanding of a variety of specific needs is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 Learning Support qualification, general education to A level standard and level 2, in Maths and English, or equivalent. In addition to the above you will need to be a strong communicator with a flexible approach and have excellent interpersonal skills able to work effectively with staff, students, and professionals at all levels.
