About the College/Department

The post is based in the School of Allied Health and Social care, one of three Schools within the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. However, you will also be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines within the College.

You will join the discipline of Diagnostics and Clinical interventions which has a strong history of providing high quality teaching and learning experiences for both pre and post-registration students. You will work with a highly motivated team who are enthusiastic about ensuring a high quality student experience whilst studying at the University of Derby.

About the role

You will join our team delivering on the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme (Apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship route). You will support delivery of this programme and across the wider suite of specialist practice programmes in the postgraduate space. In addition to teaching advanced clinical knowledge required for this programme, you will support management and delivery across the wider discipline area in both the post graduate and undergraduate programmes.

You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching in accordance with the university's strategic objectives in order to provide and exceptional student experience. You will work with the programme teams and Head of Discipline to ensure that curriculum development, quality management and enhancement comply with required standards. You will ensure that research informs and inspires an evidence led curriculum and teaching.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in advanced clinical practice, with experience in either nursing or Allied Health (e.g., Nurse or Allied Health Professional working as an ACP). Applicants must hold valid registration with a relevant regulatory body, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), or an equivalent authority, and possess a formal ACP qualification. In addition to clinical expertise, you will ideally be able to demonstrate your teaching experience, contributing to the development and education of peers or students in a clinical setting.

Important Information

This role is eligible for sponsorship by the University, however, your individual circumstances must meet the criteria set out by UKVI; this includes meeting the English Language requirement and earning a salary that meets the highest of either the going rate for the SOC code or the minimum salary threshold for the Skilled Worker route (£38,700 per annum).
