Full Job Description
You will work as part of the senior management team, in the South Locality, this is an excellent opportunity for the post holder to ensure the systematic governance of psychological practice within the overall framework of Talking Therapies policies and procedures.
In agreement with the Deputy Clinical Lead, the post holder will contribute to the day to day management of clinical governance processes within the team to ensure the safe and effective management of patient care across the whole service.
You should have significant experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision in a professional setting that focuses on using evidence based models of treatment. It is also strongly desirable that you will have worked in an NHS Talking Therapies service and have experience of working with people with and without long-term physical health conditions and their carers and other health care staff.
This post will be attractive to doctoral level (or equivalent) clinical psychologists or counselling psychologists. You should be able to demonstrate your use of evidence-based practice, preferably in a primary care setting. We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience of working with clinicians providing Step 3 treatments. You should be BABCP accredited or willing to work towards obtaining this during your first year in post.
We are looking for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist to join our exciting, innovative and successful service. Oxfordshire Talking Therapies provides evidence-based psychological therapies over the telephone, online or face to face. We support over 15,000 people a year who are struggling to manage common mental health conditions.
As part of local Talking Therapies network, the service continues to build on its excellent reputation of delivering high quality treatments.
We have been an NHS England early implementer for Integrated IAPT for people with long-term physical health conditions and DWP Employment Advice enabling us to expand our work in physical health settings as well as the work environment. Participation in audit, policy and service development, as well as research activities/programmes will be a key part of the role.

Our two main bases are centrally located in Oxfordshire. First at Abell House, and the other Manzil Way. We also use additional clinic space around the county. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes is essential.

+ Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
