We have 2 Senior Management Accountant posts that will be pivotal in supporting Dorset ICB with accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis and advice.

You will be joining a large and busy management accounts team playing a key role in;

  • Helping shape the management accounts function as part of the move towards a fully developed Integrated Care System

  • Act as finance lead for nominated business functions, providing expert financial advice and guidance to support senior managers in their ownership and delivery of budgets

  • Primary Care and Prescribing (£310m budget)

  • Mental Health and Community Services (£300m budget)

  • Personal Health Commissioning (£130m budget)

  • Dental, Pharmacy, Optometry, and Specialised Commissioning (£70m budget)

  • Corporate Services incl. staff budgets and corporate running costs (£45m budget)

  • Support, design, develop and apply implementation of systems which deliver the monthly management accounts processes in line with best practice and ensure value for money for the ICB

  • Leading and developing a small team of highly motivated finance professionals

    Have, or be working towards, a full CCAB / CIMA qualification.

  • Substantial track record as an experienced management accountant

  • Be a strong verbal and written communicator with a proven ability to convey complex data to non-finance colleagues.

  • Have excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.

  • Be experienced in leading and managing a team of finance professionals.
