Full Job Description

This role is within the Front Office Financial Control team and will be responsible for the delivery of Management and Financial accounts for our EMEA Regulated and Trading Legal entities. The role will have a primary focus on Legal Entity Control with significant emphasis on Balance Sheet substantiation, front office costs, preparation of tax analysis, monthly analytical reviews and adherence to the risk and controls framework. Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of financial statements for EMEA Regulated and Trading entities in accordance with IFRS, internal guidelines, and group policies.
  • Oversee and sign off on the financial performance of assigned legal entities.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries, including FX, intercompany recharges, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Produce timely and accurate management information for key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and substantiate GL balances against sub-ledgers or source systems.
  • Conduct variance analysis and analytical reviews for P&L and balance sheet.
  • Analyze and understand front office costs by business and entity.
  • Assist in improving efficiency, reporting, and processes within a controlled environment.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other regions to reconcile intercompany balances and share best practices.
  • Maintain an effective risk and control framework.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, understanding key cost drivers.
  • Contribute to year-end reporting, including preparation of year-end files, analytical reviews, and audit queries.
  • Support Group Tax with VAT returns and financial data for reporting and filings.
  • Foster professional relationships within the EMEA Finance Team and with other stakeholders, ensuring adherence to Group Accounting Policies and the Expenditure Control Framework.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.
  • Complete mandatory training by required deadlines.

    Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the financial services sector.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to react to changing requirements and adjust process and approach.
  • Skilled in system or process improvements.
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Desired
  • Skilled in applications such as Oracle, Excel and OneStream.
  • Personal organisation skills including multi-tasking, prioritisation and delivery.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and goal orientated.
  • In-depth knowledge of what a good control environment looks like.
