Full Job Description

Comcast Group Internal Controls Assurance department ("ICA") supports the Group's broad and evolving range of business activities. We at Comcast recognise that effective assurance and risk management is crucial to successfully execute our strategy. ICA focuses on getting the best for our customers and on Comcast's business objectives and critical processes to deliver best in class reporting. The team is responsible for the International Group's overall internal controls review programme and this role provides an opportunity to play a significant role in evaluating the Group's business, financial and technology controls. The role covers all of Comcast International areas of activity and consequently will require travel although the extent will depend on the individual's workload and the Group requirements. This role will report to the Finance Director of Internal Controls Assurance.,

  • Timely management of file and memo reviews for each process, providing either the GIC and/ or the FD with a high quality product.
  • Management of direct reports, including ongoing performance management processes.
  • Clear, concise and regular updates to the FD.
  • Liaison with key financial stakeholders across the Comcast business.
  • Scheduling and planning of ICA workstreams.
  • Management of the quarterly controls self-certification, s302 and DCC Sarbanes Oxley processes.
  • Progression and ongoing improvement of the controls framework.
  • Input to the FD to support staff performance reviews.
  • Building and maintaining close relationships with the key local stakeholders and management.
  • Coaching and monitoring junior members of the team throughout the assurance process.
  • Acting as an agent for constructive improvement in the control environment.
  • Reporting to local senior and Comcast management on key issues on a timely basis in a clear and concise fashion.

    Self-confident and able to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good influencing & negotiating skills.
  • Ability to engage in the detail of the operating business processes.
  • Ability to run multiple tasks effectively.
  • Qualified accountant or equivalent., Bachelor's Degree, Others: Accounting (Required)
  • While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
