Full Job Description

Our Business Credit Insight & Innovation plays a pivotal role in shaping our lending strategy across business lending. We're looking for a Senior Manager to join our team and help us transform our business credit risk capability, ensuring the customer is put at the heart of our lending journey. The role will focus on innovating and supporting sustainable growth in a responsible manner, ensuring our lending meets customer needs and regulatory standards.
What you'll be doing
+ Lead the development and implementation of innovative business credit strategies to drive growth within risk appetite and regulatory guidelines.
+ Design a comprehensive automation roadmap for business lending, driving the business case forward and winning executive buy in to deliver the programme of work.
+ Develop automation initiatives for business credit risk, including comprehensive automated credit assessments and process improvements.
+ Leverage technology and new data sources to streamline lending processes and provide insight into the business lending portfolios, driving efficiency across the business.
+ Own the credit strategy for small business lending, ensuring adherence to relevant policies, processes, and regulatory requirements across the credit cycle.
+ Provide monitoring, oversight and analysis of the business lending portfolio performance.
+ Support the assessment of lending applications for all aspects of the business portfolio, contributing to the decision-making process.

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks - we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.

+ Proven Leadership and Change Management Skills: Ability to drive change and influence senior stakeholders across all functions within a financial services organisation.
+ Expert in Credit Risk Change and Delivery: Experience of designing end to end customer journeys whilst ensuring credit risk is managed efficiently and effectively.
+ Proven experience of managing complex and diverse portfolios: Deep experience of managing credit risk across a variety of segments and sectors.
+ Expert Business Lending Knowledge: Deep understanding of business lending strategy, products, processes, regulations and data.
+ Strong Regulatory and Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of relevant industry regulation and standards.
+ Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex issues and make informed decisions.
It's a bonus if you have but not essential
+ Credit risk modelling experience for a business lending portfolio.
+ Experience of developing credit strategies for deployment in a range of decisioning systems.
+ A deep understanding of risk reward dynamics.
