Full Job Description

DET is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work to bridge the gap between business and technology to help our clients throughout their cloud journey. You will work alongside the team to help shape and build the business and market proposition by contributing to range of practices,

  • Help clients to plan out their cloud journey. Establish the why, the what and the how of making the transition to the Cloud. Help establish the business case. Document the overall roadmap for change.

  • Provide guidance on key cloud decisions and how they will be made; which application in which Cloud in which service model via which migration approach.

  • Advise on establishing a cloud operating model including setting up a customer CoE, cloud operations, change management and governance.

  • Team with various EY groups with digital and cloud capabilities to pursue and deliver end-to-end digital engagements and enable solutions that will bring our client's digital vision and strategy to life.

  • Perform the relevant project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management

  • Plan the programmes and large-scale projects based on a defined need - results in detailed scope/budget/schedule baseline

  • Driving improvements by taking responsibility for engagement / account level Quality & Risk Management (QRM) initiatives, ensuring that project teams understand and comply with our Q&RM requirements.

  • Assisting in client account management activities such as recruitment for the project team, managing financial aspects of client engagements, and quality and risk management.

    Extensive experience of at least 12 years in IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture, and most recently in context of migrations to hybrid and public cloud

  • Experience using frameworks/methodologies to assess and recommend application migration approaches and cloud platform options

  • A broad technology track record that's continually evolved across different platforms from on-prem to infrastructure and software as a service including back office, front office, database/middleware, virtualization, modern container-based approaches, microservices, API's and serverless

  • Exceptional customer engagement, especially at C-level across both business and technology leadership. Ability to pivot from a technology to business/commercial discussion, identifying the business value of the shift to cloud and new business models enabled

  • Confidence to lead meetings with client sponsors, management, and individual contributors

  • Experience using frameworks/methodologies to assess and recommend application migration approaches and cloud platform options

  • Experience in pre-sales work, including creating and delivering proposals, understanding client ask/requirements, client presentations, developing pricing models, creating project plan and creating resource structure for a project

  • Experience of participating in bids and tenders

  • Availability for up to travel in UK and Europe

  • Relevant Enterprise Architecture Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL or similar

  • Relevant cloud Certifications with a major cloud provider such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect.

  • Experience in governance and people/skills/culture change management associated with a typical cloud transformation project.

  • Leading and inspiring teams (directly or indirectly) on key technologies and best practices.

  • Deep subject matter expertise in one area that's a technology passion such as cloud infrastructure, data management, application development, data and analytics, AI, FinOps, security and compliance, networking, migration and program management

  • Knowledge of industry specific regulations and compliance related to cloud computing, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS

  • Experience with cloud best security practices and compliance frameworks, such as CIS Benchmark, NIST SP 800-53, or ISO/IEC 27001
