As a Senior Manager within Cloud & Engineering, you will be a leader within our business that has the ability make a huge impact on our clients and ourselves. Some of the key items that would come from the role are the ability to:
- Evangelise Cloud by educating customers and colleagues on the benefits of robust Cloud and Data services that can be used to transform their business. Ideally you will have experience across at least one major Cloud Service Provider (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud) and an understanding of multi-cloud implementations.
- Harness the power of the Cloud and deliver on our clients' strategies and ambitions to make them more efficient, agile, and resilient than ever before. For example, how cloud can improve business processes, reduce costs and deliver new products or functionality.
- Unlock new, tangible, and actionable insights through data and support our clients on their journey to being data driven. For example, through tools such as Power BI, Tableau or experience with Cloud native tooling such as AWS Quick Sight or Azure Monitor.
- Get excited by new and interesting challenges that only Cloud, Data and Deloitte can solve for our clients.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by assessing performance, gathering feedback, and implementing lessons learned to enhance future Cloud delivery processes.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, and ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members. For example, the ability to lead a team of front-end, back-end and architects from across our practise to deliver an outcome. If you have hands on experience at delivering technical projects, a good understanding of any of the main Cloud Providers and/or are proficient in realising the potential of an organisations data, then we are looking for you., Proven experience within a (re)insurer or insurance brokerage working closely with transformation activities and/or a consulting firm with a focus on insurance engagements. - Experience of delivering within technical projects or leading workstreams on transformations such as technical solution delivery, cloud delivery or cloud optimisation.
- Subject matter expertise within Cloud and its impact on the (re)insurance industries in terms of digital transformation and customer & colleague experience.
- Excellent ability in common project delivery tooling, such as JIRA, Slack, Confluence, and the Microsoft suite.
- A professional qualification in one or more cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud at an advanced level.
- An understanding of risk, how to mitigate risk and protect the firm's reputation.
- An understanding of the diverse requirements of clients and the need to work on projects in differing geographies and time zones.
- A passion for technology.
- A desire to learn and continually develop.
- Great attention to detail.
- A willingness to share your knowledge in a collaborative team environment.
