Full Job Description

The Senior Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Operations will be responsible for implementing the overall vision and strategy of the Environment, Health & Safety program across Regeneron's non-manufacturing global offices and sales fleets (excluding the US). This role will be to drive, implement, and maintain compliant environmental and occupational health and safety programs for non-manufacturing offices across multiple global jurisdictions and timezones. This will require the ability to apply an in-depth understanding of how EH&S integrates across different functions and understands the contribution of the function to Regeneron's achievement of business objectives. A typical day might include the following:

  • To Project lead and coordinate with third-parties to identify and align regulatory requirements per jurisdiction.
  • Develop strategic plans and priorities for EH&S to meet performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage local EH&S contracted support for various health and safety programs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports.
  • Drive efforts to improve EH&S performance and sustain a best-in-class safety culture.

    You are passionate about working cross-functionally to ensure local EH&S compliance requirements are met and maintained and sustaining a best-in-class safety culture.
  • You are fully proficient in leading and coordinating incident investigations and corrective action plans.
  • You are at ease with scaling EH&S management systems to meet global needs.
  • You are comfortable performing or coordinating EH&S inspections of physical locations globally, with approximately 25% of travel to support global EH&S initiatives.
  • To be considered for this opportunity you have a passion and background supervising and developing EHS team members previously. You possess a bachelors degree and 7+ years of experience (4+ year if you have a master). If you are a certified Associate Safety professional, a Certified Safety Professional or a Certified Industrial Hygienist, that would be highly preferred. Ability to develop and conduct EHS training sessions. EMT certification is a plus. Skilful in PC use as well as in specialised safety and industrial hygiene equipment. Niche applications such as integrated workplace management systems, etc highly preferred. Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organisational problems/problems relating to EH&S procedures.
