Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Manager, Financial Controls to drive the financial control framework across our global business (UK, France & US) inclusive of documentation, policies, procedures, process flows and risk registers. They will be both the driver and gatekeeper of our best practice financial control environment on our journey to operating as a large international corporate,

Our Finance team provide financial reporting, control, and accountancy across the OXB Businesses.,

  • The design and continual monitoring of the Group's financial control framework ensuring ICFR Compliance across our global locations (UK, US and France) to ensure key controls are resilient, proportionate and effective.

  • Ensure proportionate oversight in second-, and first-line financial controls are in place across

  • Accurate reporting on the control's environment to the CFO/GFC & Audit Committee.

  • Ensuring the ongoing review and continuous improvement and of processes and controls across the Group.

  • Leading the investigation, review and recommendations following a material error, omissions of evidence or lack of oversight with regards to key financial controls across the Group

  • Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the Board is in a position to make the required risk and internal controls declarations.

  • Liaise with external auditors to assist their understanding of the ICFR ahead of the annual and interim audit process and work with the to ensure appropriate documentation in place to allow timely closure between visits.

  • The co-ordination of risk management forums across OXB.

  • Ownership of the Audit Committee Report and principal risk sections of the Annual Report.

    Educated to Degree level in Finance or Science, or hold the equivalent level of work experience

  • Qualified to CA, ACCA or ACA or equivalent


  • Experience working in a professional services firm with hands on experience of challenging processes and controls environments

  • Demonstratable experience in SOX & COSO frameworks.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of financial controls, IT general controls & data interrogation techniques.

  • Demonstrable experience in deploying and designing risk based, commercially proportionate financial controls

  • The ability to understanding the financial reporting and processes in a complex business environment.

  • Good knowledge and ability to stay current on new technical literature and emerging best practice applicable to the internal control process from whichever source (e.g., FCA, FRC, IIA, PCAOB, SEC, etc.),

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems processes and transactions

  • A strong influencer and communicator with the ability to build relationships and work cross functionally.
