KPMG are continuing to develop and grow their Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investments practice and are seeking to appoint Senior Managers to support the ambition of quadrupling the size of the practice over the next three financial years. The position sits in our Insurance Transformation Services practice, which focusses on the delivery of strategic changes that encompass innovation, customer experience, growth transformation, regulatory change and large-scale cost reduction/efficiency improvements. You will be playing a crucial role in helping to drive growth in the Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investments sector. Working closely with the Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investments leadership team to drive growth in the consulting practice, you will be responsible for the delivery of consulting assignments and managed services to a range of firms, predominantly Wealth Managers, Life and Pensions companies, platform businesses, IFA Networks and firms that provide support and outsource services to the Wealth Management industry. You will lead and deliver consulting engagements for Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investment clients, as well as supporting the wider Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investments Consulting team. As part of the role, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships and furthering revenue streams from clients. You will leverage and develop your own network as well as developing relationships with clients to understand their issues and, from that, develop solutions and add value. As a senior manager, the incumbent will be actively supporting our people strategy through coaching and development of team members and acting as a Performance Manager for several people.   • Role Dimensions: Leadership & Management: As a senior manager, the incumbent will be actively supporting our people strategy through coaching and development of team members and acting as a Performance Manager for several people. Stakeholder Interaction & challenges: Our Insurance Transformation team, is at the heart of supporting our clients in shaping, planning and delivering critical business change.The team focuses on transforming the performance of organisations helping them focus on the customer to drive growth, implementing an operating model that is efficient and delivering technology to underpin the scalable growth our clients are demanding. Our clients are experiencing significant disruption. The rapid adoption of new digital technologies, the emergence of non-traditional competitors and more stringent regulations mean that today's Insurance customers are more empowered, demanding and price conscious. Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance: Our senior managers operate in the Customer and Operations service line within Management Consulting, specifically aligned to Insurance Transformation Services.

  • You will have a proven track record of managing large scale transformation programmes with multi-disciplined teams within the Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investment industry and will have experience in offering strategic advice around areas of change including; digital transformation, regulatory change, re-platforming, client experience augmentation, organisational re-design, target operating model design and programme delivery.
  • Ideally, you will have experience in operating in complex global organisations and interfacing with multiple stakeholders with sometimes differing objectives.
  • You will have a proven track record in order to support the development of the KPMG Wealth, Pensions and Retail Investments Consulting practice, building our capability and propositions and leading on key alliance relationships
  • You will work closely with the Insurance and Asset Management Sector teams and all FS Consulting Partners, ensuring that the team optimises the ability to help clients and identifies opportunities for KPMG.
  • You will be managing relationships with senior clients and will be responsible for growing and commercialising your c-suite and 'heads of' relationships across the industry.
  • You will drive the development of our brand and presence in the market, increasing our share of the market and achieving market leading status for KPMG.
  • You will have experience in developing, mentoring and supporting junior staff and teams. You will take a lead role in developing consulting skills amongst team members who have been hired for their industry experience who have limited consulting experience. Experience working in the Insurance sector (preferably General Insurance and Commercial specialty) is essential.
  • Strongly encourage prior experience in consulting or leading complex business transformation programmes in the capacity of Project/Programme Manager applying relevant methods including; Lean, Agile, operating model design, change management, technology and/or digital change.
  • In-depth understanding of the key industry, market and regulatory drivers shaping the Insurance/FS industry and an ability to articulate these by way of client opportunities.
  • The ability to present to C-Level decision makers is preferable.
  • Experience of managing and mentoring staff and helping with their personal and professional development.
