Full Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Global Security Operations (UK), is a member of UnitedHealth Group's Corporate Security team. The Corporate Security group is responsible for the Workplace Security Program that ensures the protection of the company's global workforce and physical assets through security risk management platforms. The Sr. Manager, Global Security Operations, will be responsible for tactically deploying and managing an efficient and effective security program for our company's assets, personnel and equities within alignment with UHG Corporate Security's policy, standards and procedures. This includes management and oversight of all regionally-based security related contracts, contract security officers and management of KPIs, building access procedures, security awareness orientations, country security liaison programs, physical security technology assets and security incidents. Working Schedule: This is a full-time position with working hours Monday to Friday. Occasional after-work hours may be required to support operational needs. Primary Responsibilities of the Senior. Manager, Global Security Operations (UK), Corporate Security

  • Partner with business leadership to understand business operations and objectives, socialize Workplace Security Programs, and ensure business leaders are informed of Corporate Security resources, expertise, and guidance;
  • Provide business leadership with security incident reporting metrics and actionable data and develop an understanding of business leadership perspective related to security opportunities;
  • Facilitate the delivery of security solutions that meet the needs of the business through alignment with business leadership, engagement with Corporate Security program leads and subject matter experts;
  • Champion physical security, security awareness, and proactive security training initiatives by ensuring execution of strategy in collaboration with Corporate Security program leads and other internal stakeholders;
  • Partner with Corporate Security program leads to ensure country-level application of enterprise policy, standards, and specifications;
  • Establish a consistent workplace security program and security culture across assigned businesses within Ireland.
  • Provide business leadership with interpretation of capital and operating expense impact related to onsite physical security enhancements, security awareness, and proactive security training;
  • Provide country leadership with annual budgeting of security related costs, actively manage country-specific program within business-approved capital and operating expense forecasts;
  • Manage relationships with third-party security vendors, oversee service agreements and performance management;
  • Provide quality assurance of security programs through maintaining strong business leadership relationships, continuing to seek business perspectives, providing routine reporting of security incidents, identifying material trends, and introducing new and updated workplace security solutions;
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to include Real Estate Services, Corporate Security Communications, Health & Safety, Human Capital/Employee Relations, LCRA (Compliance, Employment Law, and Litigation), Facility Managers and local business/country segment managers;
  • Effectively communicate project and key deliverable status updates to Corporate Security leadership;
  • Effectively drive change and positive improvements

  • University Undergraduate Degree or equivalent education;
  • Strong proven security experience in the private and/or public sector to include security risk management, security operations, intelligence, federal law enforcement and/or military operations while specifically implementing workplace security programs;
  • Established network of security, law enforcement and governmental resources specifically within UK;
  • Experience leading professional security contractors and/or contract guard force operations within a global, corporate environment, preferably within Ireland/ European Union/United Kingdom;
  • Experience supporting executive protection and travel security programs;
  • Demonstrated ethical adherence to compliance standards;
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices surrounding physical security technology, strategies and policies;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively articulate and document incident reporting;
  • Proven ability to provide discretion while working with sensitive business situations;
  • Demonstrated ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing credible, risk-based analysis in order to effectively determine and deploy appropriate security technology systems to mitigate identified risks;
  • Possess a current valid Passport and driver's license
  • ASIS PSP or CPP certification;
  • Preferred Qualifications of the Senior. Manager, Global Security Operations (UK), Corporate Security:
  • International incident management or investigative experience preferred;
  • The willingness to travel to the US annually and between our UK sites.
