We are looking for someone to shape and deliver the global internal communications strategy for IHG's global internal channels and measurement with line management responsibilities who can deputise for the Director of Global Internal Communications and provide support for various global and special communications projects as needed. Channels
- Developing, refining, and leading IHG's global internal communications channel strategy to help our teams effectively reach and engage colleagues across various platforms.
- Establishing clear governance to effectively run our channels and drive engagement.
- Responsible for internal communications channel vendor relationships, budgets, and renewals.
- Leading quarterly results materials such as videos and town halls. Measurement
- Leading the development and implementation of a measurement strategy and tools to evaluate the effectiveness of employee communications activities that support continuous improvement.
- Works closely with key stakeholders including Global Technology and Global Corporate Affairs to gather feedback and ensure we are continuously developing and innovating our communications channels.
- Introducing and running an internal communications champions' network with representation from all IHG's functions and regions to gather feedback on our communications.
- Providing regular reports and insights to measure the effectiveness of internal communications and channels. This is an exciting hands-on role that operates at group level and in close partnership with senior leadership. It is a role that has both visibility and responsibility, requiring an ability to collaborate and co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders in different regions and functions.
- Experience in channel management, especially in introducing and embedding new channels successfully preferably in a Corporate Communications environment.
- Have extensive knowledge and understanding of communications technology landscape, including vendor, products, and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in using data and insights in decision making.
- Strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Sound strategic judgment to be able to evaluate options, make recommendations, influence decisions, and resolve problems.
- Ability to manage agencies - relationships, budgets, and strategy.
The Global Internal Communications team drives and delivers internal communications at a group level for IHG, predominantly with corporate employees around the world, but also key communications with hotel teams and hotel owners. The team works closely with regional and functional counterparts to build colleague engagement with IHG's strategic priorities, leadership, and company culture, and operates with three principal areas of focus; corporate internal communications requirements; internal communications campaign design, execution, and measurement; and channels strategy, development, and delivery. he team sits within IHG's Global Corporate Communications team, which is made up of internal and external, teams, and belongs to IHG's Global Corporate Affairs function, which totals almost 140 colleagues across all regions and is led by the Executive Vice President, Global Corporate Affairs (a member of the company's Executive Committee). There are regional and functional communications teams based in key offices in Atlanta (Americas), Windsor (Europe) and Shanghai (Greater China), with some colleagues based in smaller satellite offices across the globe.
