Full Job Description

Responsible to drive profitable growth across the Amcor Healthcare EMEA business through the definition and deployment of effective strategies (where to play and how to win) and tactical product and marketing plans grounded on sharp identification and understanding of customer needs. He/She is accountable and oversees evolution of the performance versus agreed strategies and marketing plans and instigates corrective actions as required to deliver by enabling the team, ensuring resources and tools are in place and through cross-functional collaboration and coordination.
Beyond the business KPIs, the job holder attracts, leads, coaches and develops the talent within the product management and marketing team and proactively influences and coordinates resources within the extended commercial excellence, marcomms and R&D organisation to secure Market Insights, Regulatory, Technical and Commercial support to successfully deliver the objectives.
Ultimately the job holder will be measure through the business performance and the demonstrated human capital development within the relevant area of influence.
JOB DIMENSIONS & SCOPE
Financial: Annual revenue of approx. €1B+
Process: Long term planning, short term execution, leadership role with strong influencing
Complexity: Coordination with Cross-functional team (Sales, Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance)
Staff: 6 direct reports - 3 product managers and 3 marketing managers
Scope & Geographical spread: EMEA pharmaceutical, medical and tech spec segments and Amcor relevant product portfolio
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive the development of a comprehensive 5-year strategy for the relevant EMEA segments, taking into account value chain dynamics, unmet needs and broader organizational objectives

  • Build Amcor Healthcare brand by positioning him/her and the team members as subject matter experts, cultivating meaningful industry relationships on behalf of Amcor Healthcare

  • Drive innovation and differentiation through proactive identification of unmet needs, new product launches, and need-based innovation. Foster a creativity and experimentation culture within your team and enable them with the necessary resources and tools.

  • Collaborate with Sales by allocating resources for customer presentations, exchanging pricing and segment-specific insights and encouraging cross-functional collaboration between relevant functions

  • Develop compelling value propositions that target the needs of the segment and specific customers and position our capabilities and products against the next best alternative

  • Ensure the team creates and deliver impactful external communications, including value adding participation in key industry events. Encourage and enable your team members to share their expertise externally as well.

  • Manage the lead generation process, ensuring high quality screening and fast response, in close alignment with the business development team.

  • Define and manage, enabling your team, the overall regional product portfolio and product lifecycle, including simplification efforts and phase-outs as well as profitability and/or manufacturing optimization

    Proven track record managing and developing multinational and multicultural teams successfully as well as driving impact in a cross-functional, highly matrixial organization

  • 7+ years marketing or product management experience in an international B2B matrix environment or relevant segments, both as people manager and individual contributor

  • Demonstrated success with key marketing and product management processes: strategic planning, competitive analysis, new product launches, value pricing, product life cycle management, etc

  • Proven track record leading and building sounded business cases to back innovations, investments

  • Proven track record in aligning and maintaining organizational focus on Customer, new product introductions and product portfolio management, ultimately driving customer and segment into it

  • Product knowledge and previous experience of the healthcare packaging industry is a clear plus

  • Management consulting experience at manager level or above is a strong plus

  • Fluent in English, additional European languages (e.g. French, German, Spanish) a strong plus
