Full Job Description
The Net Zero Travel and Transport (NZTT) team is one of three small sub-teams within NHS England's Transport Team. Their over-arching objective is to reduce the greenhouse gas and air pollution emissions from all forms of NHS travel and transport to net zero by 2045. The Senior Manager post in the NZTT team has recently become vacant, due to the promotion of the previous postholder. We are therefore seeking a new recruit to lead on all aspects of decarbonising the NHS's emergency fleet vehicles in particular. The role will involve working closely with all ambulance trusts across England to plan and support their fleet transition to zero emission vehicles, including the design and implementation of EV recharging infrastructure and the myriad operational changes required to accommodate zero emission vehicles into emergency response roles., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher. You can find more information on theGovernment website.
· Extensive experience of working within, or closely alongside, emergency services providers. · Deep knowledge of recent and near-future zero emission vehicles and recharging infrastructure requirements. · A track record of managing innovative sustainability projects from conception to completion.

- Working collaboratively to ensure our healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care
- Optimising the use of digital technology, research, and innovation
- Delivering value for money.
