Full Job Description

  • This is an exciting role that requires a forward-lookingleader who can lead and manage multi-disciplinaryprocurement initiatives to deliver the best in classoperational procurement performance.
  • As a strategic leader, you will play a key role indriving procurement process excellence with our outsourced operationalprocurement team and wider Procurement team, guiding the transition to a moreefficient, digitally enabled, and category management-focused organisation.
  • This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver process optimisation,digital transformation, and improve the use of value-added analytics to driveproductivity improvement within the business. Alongside this, you will lead and manage a small team ofProcurement Specialists covering our Procurement analytics, data, systems, andprocesses. This role directly manages, develops, motivates, and inspires themto be an engaged and effective team
  • Furthermore, you will have the opportunity tolearn and leverage the global buying power that comes from being part of theLinde group, as you collaborate and work closely with the regional and globalteams sharing learnings and best practices of working particularly arounddigitalisation
  • By working with global colleagues, you are alsoresponsible for ensuring Procurement compliance within our region aligned tothe Linde Group standards.

    Degree & CIPS / MCIPS qualification and / or a minimum of 5 years+ working experience in a Procurement / sourcing function, with the ability to lead related operational excellence and digitialised procurement process initiatives
  • Experienced strategic sourcing, category management and / or procurement skills demonstrated at a mid to senior level
  • Demonstrated successful leadership skills across managing people, teams & change with experience in building and engaging an effective team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to develop positive working relationships cross functionally both internally and externally, particularly with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working closely with cross functional stakeholder groups across an organisation e.g. Finance / Project Management
  • Deep understanding of procurement technologies such as SAP Ariba, and the passion, digital mindset and experience in driving automation and e-procurement initiatives
  • A passion and proven experience for driving operational excellence, continual improvement, and process optimisation
  • A high level of planning, self-organisational and execution skills, backed up with experience in agile delivery methods
  • Excellent level of business insight with an analytical approach to data and analytics when needed
  • Passion to drive results and a want to get things done and in the best possible way
  • Comfortable working in a complex and changing organization working in scenarios of ambiguity
