Join us as a Senior Manager - Technical Delivery Lead, you will be leading a team providing comprehensive technical support and oversight to project managers, business analysts across various projects and programmes within Enterprise Transformation. A key technical contact in all steering committee meetings, driving technical excellence, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with the airline's strategic goals and technology roadmaps. Working closely with cross-functional teams to foster innovation and enhance operational efficiency and resiliency through technology.

Within this role you will have extensive collaboration with business owners, including those at the CEO, EVP, and SVP levels, offering significant technical expertise and high-quality programme and project delivery. Whilst working together with architects, data specialists, and other delivery stakeholders to ensure seamless technical implementations and uninterrupted operations.

Additionally, the Technical Delivery Lead will mentor and support Project Managers and Programme Managers on the technical delivery aspects of their plans. The role is also responsible for cultivating a highly engaged, performance-driven culture of continuous improvement and people development. Day to day

  • Contribute technical recommendations to projects and programmes and assume responsibility for technical direction in collaboration with other technology teams, including architecture, infrastructure, service, security and applications.

  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to project managers and business analysts across all projects and programmes ensuring seamless transition into operational and reacceptance.

  • Facilitate the Portfolio Governance Board to ensure successful delivery, engaging with stakeholder groups including SVP and EVP audiences.

  • Third-Party Suppliers: Managing strategic agreements for contingent workers and professional services to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Manage the expectations of the stakeholders during delivery, highlighting any variances to the original plan and escalating these as needed. Being proactive in resolving conflict between senior stakeholders where it is compromising technical delivery.

  • Contribute and enforce technical delivery standards and best practices across all projects and programmes.

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards aligned with architecture design signed off in DRB (Design Review Board).

  • Identify, assess, and manage delivery technical risks associated with projects and programmes

  • Develop contingency plans to address potential delivery technical challenges and ensure continuity.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of delivery technical solutions whilst delivery is in place pre 'Operational Acceptance'.

    Proven senior experience in technical delivery management, preferably within the airline industry or a similar highly regulated environment.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent demonstrable experience will also be considered.

  • ITIL qualification required, equivalent demonstrable experience will also be considered.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), equivalent demonstrable experience will also be considered.

  • Demonstratable experience in delivering technology large-scale technical projects within the airline or transportation industry.

  • Strong technical background with experience in modern software, API/event-based architectures systems integration, and infrastructure management.

  • Evidence of presenting technical information to non-technical colleagues in a coherent way.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence others.

  • Experience in working with global and cross-functional teams, across multiple domains and geographies.
