Full Job Description

Job Title: Senior Marketing Consultant

Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract and Permanent

Location: Edinburgh, London, or Alderley Edge.

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 19th December 2024

We are seeking two experienced Senior Marketing Consultants to join our Adviser Marketing team. One of the roles is a 12-month fixed term contract and the other is permanent.

As a Senior Marketing Consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering the marketing plan to support new business growth for protection and retirement. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, mentoring skills, and strong stakeholder management.

You will be involved in managing the development and delivery of market leading campaigns and content for customers, advisers and employers that support the overall B&M marketing strategy and delivery of our trading objectives.

About the role

-Plan, develop and deliver marketing communications and content in support of the overall marketing plan, applying the most effective media and communication channels.
-Ensure marketing activity supports the delivery of new business targets and other key strategic objectives including building the Royal London brand.
-Day-to-day responsibility for major campaigns and initiatives including delivery planning, resource alignment and responsibility for budgets.
-Ensure alignment of segmentation, contact/engagement strategy and key messaging with Distribution colleagues, supporting an ABM approach
-Set clear campaign objectives and measures that align with commercial targets.
-Using data and insights continuously test, learn, and optimise marketing activity.
-Lead cross-functional teams to deliver marketing to

chosen audience groups, working with stakeholders across the Brand and Marketing function and other parts of the business.
-Identify and deploy the key internal specialists and external suppliers (including creative and media agencies) required to support a specific campaign and manage these relationships through to successful delivery.
-Development and delivery of all supporting marketing collateral.

About you

-Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, knowledge, and curiosity about how technology can improve marketing effectiveness.
-Experience working in the financial services industry. For one of the roles knowledge of the Protection market would be an asset.
-Experience of briefing, running and reporting on large integrated marketing campaigns.
-Experience of copy writing.
-Excellent understanding of marketing communication tools and techniques including paid media.
-Experience handling data to the appropriate level of security both internally and externally, in line with Data Protection standards.
-Ability to manage large campaign budgets and risks.
