Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in partnership with perinatal services as a Senior Maternity Voices Advocate.
The purpose of this new leadership role is to ensure that the voices of families are central to decision making and are advocated for at a senior level within the organisation. The postholder will help parents-to-be, new parents and families to be listened to, ensuring their voices are heard by their maternity and neonatal care providers. They will work in partnership with maternity and neonatal leaders to co-produce services and improvements, offering check and challenge at all levels to ensure the service is reflective and responsive to the needs of the service users.
The post holder will need to have the skills and capabilities to influence change and will need to have robust and challenging conversations with clinicians. To build Trust and open communication, the post holder will need to build positive working relationships with senior clinical colleagues in the Trusts they will be working alongside, including Non-Executive Directors, Chief Nurse, Directors and Heads of Midwifery and senior obstetricians., Please read the attached full job description and person specification in the additional documents section.
