Full Job Description

The Orthopaedic Service at Newcastle Hospitals is based cross site but the elective service is at the Freeman hospital. We are a busy regional service with many complex patients which we provide a variety of orthopaedic services to including foot and ankle, spines and arthroplasty. We currently have a permanent, fulltime vacancy for a A&C Band 4 Senior Medical Secretary to become part of the arthroplasty team at Freeman hospital. You will be working alongside a team of other medical secretaries and a clerk typist. You will be responsible for 3 Consultants, minuting the weekly MDT and uploading scans for theatre procedures alongside management of consultant diaries, clinical and non-clinical audio typing, use of the Trusts patient administration system, and management of test results, amongst other general office duties.
