Join Our Team as a Senior Medical Secretary at London Bridge Hospital. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Medical Secretary to join our Float Team at London Bridge Hospital. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the highest standards of secretarial and administrative support for our consultants, stepping in to cover any service gaps.   • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to consultants, including audio-typing of clinical and non-clinical material, reports, and correspondence.
  • Manage patient appointments efficiently, coordinating with patients and hospital staff as needed.
  • Handle new patient referrals and arrange appointments across various departments.
  • Ensure accurate registration of new patients and maintain up-to-date patient records.
  • Address written and verbal queries from patients and their families, escalating to consultants when necessary.
  • Support the smooth operation of Out-Patients Clinics by liaising with consultants and other secretaries.
  • Assist with additional duties as requested by the Medical Secretary Manager, Deputy Medical Secretary Manager, or Supervisor.

    A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Medical Secretary.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Experience working across a range of medical specialties.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with accurate typing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred:
  • Previous experience as a float Medical Secretary.
  • Familiarity with DGL Practice Manager and Meditech.
