Full Job Description

The team work a shift pattern covering every day of the year, operating from 10:30 until 23:00 daily. Based in North Yorkshire Police control room, we function as mental health liaison with the police, providing information and advice to inform police decision making, we also carry out telephone triages with people presenting to the police in mental health crises and liaise with other mental health teams., Act as a mental health resource for North Yorkshire Police, to assist their dealing with people presenting in mental health crisis.

Provide information and advice to police, to minimise unnecessary mental health demand to police.

Carry out triage mental health assessments of people presenting to police in crisis.

Maintain immediate and accurate clinical records on police and NHS computer systems.

18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework is essential.

This is a small and friendly team, working within north yorkshire police control room. Parking is available and free.
