Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! We have developed an innovative, integrated model of childrens community services and now looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams., We are excited to be advertising for Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioners with a range of skills and experience. We are keen to hear from professionals interested in supporting our new pathway model. There are opportunities available in our North Devon team, based in Barnstaple, working with those young people struggling with mood, emotions, and relationships. You will work with our dedicated teams with ongoing training and supervision., As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner in Children & Family Health Devon, your role is crucial in providing comprehensive and specialised mental health support to children and young people. Your main duties encompass a range of responsibilities, including assessment, intervention, and collaboration. You will conduct thorough mental health assessments, using a person-centered approach to understand the unique needs of each child. With this understanding, you will develop tailored care plans and implement evidence-based interventions to address their mental health concerns and promote their overall well-being., As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, collaboration will be a key aspect of your role. You will provide consultation, advice, and training to colleagues, families, and partner agencies, fostering a collaborative approach to mental health care. Your contributions to multidisciplinary teams will ensure coordinated and integrated care for children and young people. You will support service development and improvement, participating in team meetings, engaging in development opportunities, and staying up to date with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health. By maintaining accurate and confidential records, adhering to safeguarding protocols, and prioritising the well-being of children and young people, you will make a significant impact in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of mental health services in children's NHS settings.

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.
CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
