Full Job Description

We are looking for Senior Support Workers who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people who have a variety of mental health conditions; who are able to contribute to innovation and who possess emotional resilience.

The role covers Coventry and Warwickshire and will involve travel to different CWPT bases, community facilities and Service Users' homes

You will work closely with clinical leads, managers and colleagues to develop the service and manage a caseload of people. You will help provide psycho-educational sessions to service users as well as building effective multiagency links to ensure that we meet the diverse needs of the people we see.

You will work with service users to co-produce proactive plans which the SU and services can use to assist with reducing hospital admissions or frequent contacts with urgent care services. You will ensure that the needs of the people you see are identified through their own words and perceptions and what support, from statutory, voluntary and community services, will help them towards Recovery., Please note: It is mandatory requirement for all newly appointed staff to be registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service for adults and children.

It is essential that candidates have experience of working within community mental health or with people with mental health needs. You must have either significant relevant experience and / or a relevant qualification such as a psychology degree, assistant practitioner foundation degree / mental health degree etc. Evidence of this must be presented.

The service is an age independent multidisciplinary Team. We work with clients 18 plus, with a variety of complex backgrounds and mental health needs. The post holder will need to possess both emotional intelligence and resilience.

The Service covers a large geographical area and the post holder will need to be confident about lone working
