Full Job Description
The person appointed to this role will work collaboratively with other health board equivalent leads, the local midwifery and obstetric team as well as regional/national forums to share best practice and build a supportive network. Internally, they will promote, through leadership modelling, a culture of continuous quality improvement to ensure best practice in the delivery of patient care, ensuring systems support improvements in clinical quality and are aligned to health board processes and standards., The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate collaborative working with individual staff along with the wider midwifery management team and be able to establish strong relationships with clinical and managerial leaders to ensure that operational delivery is patient centred. As a senior midwife you will review, influence and lead the development and implementation of policies and audits, organise learning and teaching of the multi-disciplinary team and ensure the key performance indicators are achieved and reported to a range of stakeholders.
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, dynamic midwife who will provide leadership, guidance and expertise within the wider multi-disciplinary team for Women's Services for fetal surveillance and intrapartum risk assessment. This will include putting in place strategies, frameworks and education that ensure the maternity service meets the health boards standards for fetal monitoring and wellbeing.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
